Clover and I awoke to yet another beautiful day – we decided
that working was entirely inappropriate for the day, and dedicated
ourselves fully to play. To that end, the morning was spent in horseback
riding with another friend of ours, an older gentleman who is a neighbor
and who had dropped by this morning just to be neighborly. It was
a beautiful ride, and afterwards, Andrew, our friend, went inside
to rest while the two of us hopped in the river to play. Unbeknowndst
to us, Andrew was taking pictures of us from inside the house as we
splashed and played in the river – he just sent them to me a
few days ago, in fact, and they are the photographs that follow below.
As usual, we wound up stripping each other naked, and wrestling and
rolling around in the stream. I ran in to get my camera afterwards,
and had a little photo session with Ivy in the river; my favorites
of those are below.
The last of these was taken later in the day.
