This card is the Knight of Hearts, which corresponds to the Knight of Cups in the standard tarot. A dark warrior stands on the glistening waves of an azure sea. He is a Hummingbird Warrior. He holds in his hands an Aztec sword of obsidian blades, and is clothed in the skin of a jaguar. On his back is the back-rack of Chalchiuhtotolin, the creative and generative aspect of Tezcatlipoca, the lord of all. He holds in his hand a bleeding heart, which he regards with concentration, and above him are roiling rainclouds, from which drip turquoise drops of water.
This card might refer to the querent himself, to an event, or to a person who comes into the querents life. This person might be a messanger, and if so, he comes bearing news of love or proposals of marriage. This person might be a lover, who is in touch with his emotions and those of others, who is a romantic and seducer. While he appears calm, like the sea on which the young warrior stands, he hides within himself roiling depths, and is a man who pursues the objects of his desire with zeal and cunning. This card will appear when the querent has subjugated his dreams to the dreary demands of life, to remind him of what he has forsaken; he will also appear when the querent has allowed his dreams to gain control and blind him, for he pertains to dreams, love, and visions, and will always appear to guide you.
