After we got back from eating, I had JR get back on the trapeze for some more drawings. I did some warm up drawings first (of about an hour each), and then followed these with a large pastel. Another photo and the drawings follow below - the pastel is too large, so will go up when my assistant gets around to it.
After the relatively simple pose above, I had JR hold a much more difficult, athletic pose (below). He held it as long as he could, which was a few minutes, and then would rest for a few minutes, and do it again. The drawing is more sketchy because of the difficulty of the pose. I tried to finish quickly, and then we moved on to another, more comfortable pose.
This was the last of the simpler drawings for the session. It came out very dark in my scanner - his face is not so muddy looking in the original drawing. Afterwards, I had him get in another seated pose for a much longer time, to model for a pastel. I had him put his green shorts back on, and added a big mustache, to make him look like a Victorian trapeze artist. I'll post it later when it gets photographed,
