Diary ~In the Studio with Josh #1

Summer, 2005

 

I had a photo shoot with Josh recently to take photos that are difficult to draw from life, especially of us wrestling. While I was at it we took photos to turn into Arcadian and beach pictures as well.

These two sets are for simple and romantic paintings of couples; I already started one of the pose to the bottom right which will be finished within a week or so. I generally prefer to draw couples from life, but will work from photographs when using myself as a model and the pose is too difficult or awkward to use a mirror.

 

The rest of the photos which follow, except for the last couple, are of us wrestling nude. Some of them are a little blurry because we were wrestling for real and the exposure was too slow, but it was really fun and I've already started working on the paintings of them.

 

The photo below is of the two of us on the staircase, to turn into angel paintings later. I will have a second page in the diary of the staircase photos soon.
