Diary ~ Trapeze with JR

I just returned from New York, which was amazing (and which I will write about later), and set to work right away. JR called, and told me that he had set up a trapeze in the stairway of a beautiful old Victorian mansion which is in the process of being refurbished. A couple of his other photographer friends came as well, and he stripped down to a pair of small green speedos, and set to doing his beautiful gymnastics on the trapeze. His strength is amazing, and he can do the most extraordinary things with the greatest ease.

After a little of that, he asked what we would like, so naturally, I suggested that he remove the speedos and perform in the nude. Being the sweetheart he is, he obliged – removing his shorts in mid air, while in the midst of a backwards somersault. Unfortunately, it was so dark that that picture came out blurred, as well as a great many others, but the best of the lot are presented below.

Here he is getting dressed again. We had a small dinner afterwards, and then went back to the house to draw – he stripped and got back on the trapeze, while I sat at the bottom of the stairs and drew him hovering above me. The drawings follow on the next entry.
